Eiji Shirutachi (b. 2008): Leader of the Hungry Wolves gang, Eiji was a highly gifted engineer and technician who started the gang as a sort of motorcycle appreciation club crossed with an unofficial neighborhood watch program. Very tall and muscular, but gentle (at least, with most people). Taught the rest of the gang most of their mechanical skills and custom-built unique motorcycles for them. Developed a severe drinking habit following Hirokatsu's death and the other losses that followed; lost the use of his legs due to an accident in October of 2036. Moved to the countryside to live with relatives.
Hideo Kuragane (b. 2018): Due to his natural charisma and talent on a motorcycle, Hideo was Eiji's unofficial second-in-command after Hirokatsu's dead, despite his youth and not really wanting any sort of authority. Tetsuo's closest friend since childhood, he introduced him to the gang, and suggested he should be brought into the gang after the younger boy ran away from home. Son of a Japanese woman and an American contractor who stayed after the rebuilding efforts of the 2020s, he speaks super English, and Tetsuo picked up Hideo's obsession with American culture and artifacts. As a boy, fled his abusive father to live with his maternal aunt in Neotokyo in 2025, and met Tetsuo at school in 2026. After the Eiji's injury, he grudgingly gave in to his aunt insisting he should clean up his act and go to college before he went the way of his friends.
Hirokatsu Kitase (b. 2009): A founding member of the Hungry Wolves and high school friend of Eiji. Hirokatsu went to college but dropped out to pursue his lasting interest in martial arts. He taught several of the gang's members the street fighting he'd picked up and honed. Shot to death in May of 2036 during a conflict with a rival gang.
Ai Kitase (b. 2017): A youth/street-fashion model and Hirokatsu's younger sister, Ai became a sort of honorary member of the Hungry Wolves, essentially adopted by the whole gang. Kind, gentle, and beautiful. Was severely traumatized by Hirokatsu's death and began heavy drug use until overdosing in July of 3036.
Tadahiro Takahashi (b. 2012): Grew up in the same neighborhood as Eiji and joined the gang in the early days. Arrested with Ayako in August of 2036 after being caught stealing a car, and charged with grand theft auto and armed robbery.
Ayako Tsukada (b. 2014): Childhood friend of Takahashi, who introduced her to the gang. Arrested with Tadahiro in August of 2036 after being caught stealing a car, and charged with grand theft auto and armed robbery.
Tetsuo Usuda (b. 2020): Childhood friend of Hideo, joined the gang in 2030 after running away from home. The last full-time member of the Hungry Wolves gang, Tetsuo stubbornly remained in the gang's old turf.
