Summary
Setting: Akira, about two decades after the end of the manga.
Brief History: All Tetsuo knew for sure is that he was adopted. His adoptive father Kenshiro made certain to leave no doubt; his adoptive mother Miyuki, however, who couldn't have children, herself, embraced him entirely as her own. When she died literally shielding him from street violence, however, Tetsuo ran away from his emotionally stunted foster father, and joined the Hungry Wolves, the biker gang to which a childhood friend belonged. Tetsuo became one of their best riders, but after a few years, the Wolves fell on hard times, losing members to accidents, the law, and conflict with other gangs. Eventually, Tetsuo was the only one left living rough.
